Eligibility Requirements

  • Participation is free, but limited to one participant per country.
  • Only open to public safety professionals and public authorities. Private companies are not eligible.
  • You must be registered for the EENA 2025 conference in Helsinki and have paid the conference fee to attend this workshop.

Logistics

  • Transport: Participants will travel to Kerava by train, escorted by a member of the 112 Finland team. Train tickets for both arrival and return will be covered by 112 ERC.

This exclusive session, designed for representatives of public authorities will explore cutting-edge advancements in emergency response technology and foster discussions among public safety authorities.

Led by Google‘s expert team, the workshop will focus on:

  • Emergency Automation: How Android devices can automatically call for help during emergencies like car crashes and falls.
  • Enhanced Emergency Location Service: Insights into how ELS can provide additional context to emergency responders, such as device language, medical information, or incident type and strategies to help public safety systems implement and support these advanced features.
  • Reducing Abandoned Emergency Calls: Brainstorming innovative solutions to minimise abandoned calls from Android devices.
