We are pleased to announce the launch of the detailed programme for the EENA 2026 Conference & Exhibition!

This year’s conference will focus on strengthening preparedness and resilience in emergency communications, addressing the challenges posed by geopolitical uncertainty, natural disasters, and the ongoing transition as 2G and 3G networks are phased out. The programme will bring together experts from across the sector to discuss developments shaping the future of emergency communications.

Throughout the event, sessions will explore topics such as Public Warning Systems, data integration, Next Generation 112, and the growing role of AI in Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs). We will also look at upcoming EU legislation and what it means for emergency communications across Europe.

Programme highlights: Supporting PSAP operations and call-takers

Behind every emergency call and technology is a call-taker making critical decisions under pressure. Supporting these professionals and improving operational processes are essential priorities for the future of emergency communications.

At the 2026 EENA Conference, we will explore how PSAPs can strengthen their operational capacity and support the people at the heart of emergency response. From call-taker wellbeing and handling high-stress situations, to managing frequent callers and improving decision-making through operational data, the programme will highlight practical experiences and lessons from across Europe and beyond.

Our conference programme will explore these topics in depth, including:

  • Supporting call-taker wellbeing: Practical strategies and organisational approaches to support call-takers’ mental health, resilience and long-term wellbeing.
  • Managing frequent callers: Real-world experiences and tools that help PSAPs balance caller support with operational efficiency.
  • Using operational data in PSAPs: How analysing call and incident data can improve planning, resource allocation and overall service quality.
  • Video and multimedia to 112: How live video, real-time text and images can enhance situational awareness and improve emergency response.
  • Responding to suicidal calls: Caller engagement strategies and operational approaches that help guide individuals in crisis towards safety while supporting call-takers.
  • Best practices for emergency callbacks: Procedures, skills and technologies that help maintain communication continuity during emergencies
