This year workshop welcomed 19 participants from all around the world.
Merav Griguer, Partner at Bird & Bird, is a lawyer with an extensive data privacy practice. She will lead this workshop focusing on the legal aspects of the use of data in emergency command and control rooms, including the use of location data, video, text and medical data. Attending this workshop will allow you to understand clearly the impact of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on your work and on the business of your organisation, as well as the concrete measures that should be taken.

The use of UAV/RPAS/Drones in public safety has become a real hot-topic across fire departments, search and rescue units, and law enforcement segments. There are many questions on what an integration model looks like, what sensors to use, how to best tactically deploy aerial platforms and what technology is currently available. This EENA Pre-Conference Day will dive into some of these questions.
The morning will provide information about current status of the drone industry, use case scenarios and available hard and software solutions. You will learn how EENA handles their drone program and how drones can save lives in search and rescue missions. This goes beyond professional rescue personell but will also show how ordinary citizens and enterpreneurs can also contribute to public safety.

During the second half of the day you will get some hands-on experiences on a variety of different DJI platforms out in the open. We will have various stations where you can learn more about the utilization of drones in public safety, get some hand-on flight experience and participate in some training scenarios.
For conference attendees transportation will be provided. The day includes a lunch and refreshments and will conclude at approx. 17h00.
